Li Lab publishes a book chapter: “Gene Editing in 3D Cultured Nephron Progenitor Cell Lines”

Dr. Zhongwei Li, together with Dr. Toshikazu Araoka from Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) in Japan, and Dr. Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte from Salk Institute, published a book chapter in a new Springer book “Kidney Organogenesis: Methods and Protocols”. In this new book chapter entitled “Gene Editing in 3D Cultured Nephron Progenitor Cell Lines”, an update has been provided on the development of nephron progenitor cell culture. Highlights include (1) an optimized mouse NPC culture that overcomes the batch differences of B27 supplements; (2) a simple 3D culture-based method to derive NPC lines from any mouse strain without the need for Six2-GFP reporter.
